| Nothing creates
softness and a feeling of warmth and cosiness to a window like
curtains. Curtains lined with an insulated lining dramatically
help reduce heat loss in the home.
The top of the curtain, commonly called the 'heading' can be pinch,
pleated, gathered or a variety of decorative finishes such as
goblet pleats.
Side drapes are fixed curtains, which don't open, or close and
help to frame a window and are purely decorative. Curtains
can be hung on a decorative timber rod or coloured decorator rod
or a simple track, which is hidden behind the curtain only being
exposed when the curtains are opened may be used.
Valances, or pelmets can be added to finish the look of the window
and hide the track. |
